Classroom rules/Management
Rules
1. Keep your hands and your feet to yourself
2. Show respect
3. Be a good listener
Management Students are expected to enter the room, hang up their backpacks, place their folders in their mailboxes, get their breakfast, and take a seat quietly. When breakfast is over, we sing the cleanup song, and students throw away all their belongings.
When instruction is to begin, a train whistle s blown. Students quietly push in chairs, walk to the carpet,
and sit cris-cross-applesauce on the carpet. After instruction is complete, when the clicker is pressed,
students will quietly go back to their desks to begin work. To gain students attention when needed, a
chime is rung, a clapping pattern is used,or the saying 123 eyes on me.
To reward or punish behavior their are several things that are used in class. The first is the marble jar
for whole class reward. When the class is on task, following directions, and working quietly, they are
rewarded with five to ten marbles. When the marble jar is full, the class earns a party. For small group
rewards students earn smiley faces. Ten smiley faces earned by the group equals a sticker. Five stickers
earned equal a prize for the group. If individual students misbehave, they have to move a pin. Everyone
begins on green, 1st warning is yellow, second warning is blue, and final warning is red and a call to parents.
